Terms of Service

The conditions for using this website and for buying and using the recipe collection. Plain language, current as of November 2026.

These Terms of Service define the conditions for using this website and for purchasing and using the recipe collection offered by Dave's Hots Chickens. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

This site is operated by Dave's Hots Chickens, 855 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. Questions about anything written here can be sent through the contact page, and our team answers them during posted business hours.

If a term below does not sit right with you, the correct step is to stop using the site rather than to continue browsing. Nothing on this page is hidden in a second document: everything that applies to a visitor of this site, or to a buyer of the Dave hot chicken recipe collection, is stated here in full.

On this page

Read the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy for how data and cookies are handled on this site.

Use of the website

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reading recipes, comparing technique notes, and planning a cook at home all fall inside that permission.

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, or interfere with its normal operation. That includes automated scraping of the recipe pages, attempts to reach accounts or files that are not yours, and any action that slows the site down for other visitors.

Content on this site is provided for general informational purposes and may be updated or changed without notice. Recipe wording, technique notes, and page structure are revised from time to time as the collection grows, and an older printout or screenshot may not match the current version.

Where the site links to other pages, those pages are offered for convenience. We do not control what sits outside daveshotschickens.rest and cannot vouch for its accuracy.

Before you buy: how the collection is delivered

The recipe collection is a digital product. There is no box, no shipment, and no wait at a doorstep. Understanding that before checkout prevents most of the questions that arrive afterward.

What you receive

Downloadable files holding the recipes and the technique guide, including the brining, dredging, and frying notes that make restaurant-style crust possible at home.

When it arrives

Delivery begins once payment is confirmed. Keep the download link and the confirmation email: they are the record of your purchase.

How to prepare

Have a device that opens PDF files, a kitchen scale, and a thermometer for oil before your first cook. The guide assumes all three.

Purchases and delivery

Payment methods are those shown at the point of purchase. This site does not process card payments directly.

Delivery of the digital files
Begins after payment is confirmed
Refund eligibility after download
Limited once files are downloaded, except where law requires otherwise
Payment handling
Handled by the provider shown at checkout, not by this site
If a download fails
Contact us and we will reissue the files
Questions before ordering
Send them through the contact page first
Files are personal, not transferable
See the licence section below

Because the product is digital, refund eligibility is limited once files have been downloaded, except where required by applicable law. Nothing in this paragraph removes a right you hold under the law of your own jurisdiction.

License and permitted use

What you may do

  • Cook from the recipes for yourself, your household, and guests at your own table.
  • Print copies for personal use, including a kitchen copy that gets splattered with oil.
  • Adapt seasoning levels in your own notes for your own kitchen.
  • Keep the files on your own devices as long as you like.

What is not allowed

  • Reselling the files or the printed pages, in any format.
  • Redistributing or republishing the recipes on another site, app, or channel.
  • Sharing the files publicly, including in open groups or shared drives.
  • Using the recipes or the written guide to build a competing product.

Purchasing the recipe collection grants you a personal licence to use the recipes and guide for your own cooking. The recipes and written content remain the property of Dave's Hots Chickens, and the licence does not transfer ownership of the text or the files.

Food safety and results

Cooking involves inherent risks, including burns and foodborne illness. You are responsible for safe food handling, proper cooking temperatures, and safe use of hot oil.

Follow the safety notes included in the guide. They cover oil depth, stable pans, dry chicken before it meets the oil, and how to keep the area around a kettle clear. The Hots chicken method depends on oil held at a steady temperature, and a thermometer is the only reliable way to know where you stand.

Results depend on your equipment, ingredients, and technique. The recipes describe a method, not a promise of a specific outcome. Two kitchens following the same steps can produce crust that browns at different speeds, and that difference comes from the pan, the oil, the flour, and the cook — not from a fault in the recipe.

Before you start frying

  • Check that your thermometer reads correctly before the first batch.
  • Never leave a kettle of hot oil unwatched, even for a moment.
  • Keep a lid and a box of baking soda within reach, never water.
  • Let fried pieces rest on a rack so steam escapes instead of softening the crust.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Dave's Hots Chickens is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site or the recipe collection. That covers lost time, spoiled ingredients, damaged cookware, and similar knock-on costs.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law. If your local law grants you a right that this section appears to narrow, that right stays intact.

These terms are governed by the laws that apply at the operator's place of business in Atlanta, Georgia, unless the consumer law of your own country says otherwise. Disagreements should be raised with us first through the contact page, because most concerns about a digital order are settled by resending a download link.
